Sprinturf Provides Synthetic Turf Field for Mississippi State University’s Famous Maroon Band

Mt Pleasant, SC (May 2, 2018) – Mississippi State University broke ground this week on its new Sprinturf synthetic turf field. It will
provide a reliable rehearsal space for the university’s famous Maroon Marching Band.

In 2007, MSU renovated the famous Maroon Band’s practice facility and installed an ordinary grass field. Drainage issues and
persistent rain made the grass surface unusable, forcing the marching band to find other practice areas. MSU decided to do for its
marching band what many other colleges and universities already have done for their athletic teams — upgrade to a Sprinturf synthetic
field, which allows practice even in wet conditions.

“The practice field is our classroom during the marching season,” said Elva Kaye Lance, Director of the Famous Maroon Band. “Sprinturf’ssynthetic turf will allow us to rehearse, regardless of the weather situations that come our way.”
Colleges, universities, and high schools increasingly are taking advantage of the benefits Sprinturf synthetic turf can provide to their
students, including unlimited usage, reduced maintenance, and enhanced aesthetics.

Mt Pleasant, SC (January 26, 2018) – Sprinturf, the nation’s leading athletic turf manufacturer, rang in the new year by establishing an
Austin, Texas branch, which expands Sprinturf’s ability to serve to Texas customers and demonstrates the company’s commitment to

“Carter has worked with the majority of turf manufacturers in the last 15 years, and I can say without hesitation that Sprinturf has
